Grandvalira

Grandvalira is the biggest ski area in the Pyrenees, with 193 km of runs. It is situated to the north of the Andorran Principality, along the border with France. The resort has six points of access, all of these along the Carretera General 2 also known as the road to France. Soldeu is the main town (near the resort) that can be used as point of reference:

How to get there?

  • By car
    From Spain, there are two main access roads, the C145 from Lleida or the C16 from Puigcerda and the Cadi tunnel. La Seu d'Urgell is just 30 km from the first access point to the Grandvalira ski area in Encamp. From France access is via the N22. This road leads directly to Pas de la Casa, which is right on the French border. From the slopes in Pas de la Casa you have direct access to the entire Grandvalira ski area, or if you prefer, you can continue by road through the Envalira Tunnel, then along the CG2 to the car parks in the other main sectors of Grau Roig, Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo.

    In Spain:
    High Speed Train (AVE) provides a regular service from the capital Madrid to Lleida. From Lleida there are daily connections by bus (see the By Bus section) to Andorra with both Eurolines and Alsina Graells and Montmantell society.

    In France:
    The nearest stations to Andorra are in L'Hospitalet Près l'Andorre and La Tour de Carol. There are daily bus connections from these stations to Andorra with Hispano Andorrana society.
